Friday, August 1 through Sunday, August 3, the East Campus Main Parking Lot will be closed to vehicle traffic. General admission is required to access activities in the parking lot, August 2-3.

For the duration of the Seafair Festival, the U.S. Navy Blue Angels will be stationed at the King County International Airport terminal (north end of Boeing Field). Unfortunately, this means that we won't be able to see the pilots' walk down ceremonies from the Museum, but the planes will take off right in front of the Museum. 

Listed times on Friday, Saturday and Sunday are for performances in the air show and may not accurately reflect departure or arrival times at Boeing Field. Flight times are subject to change without notice.


CAUTION: Running jets can cause noise and exhaust hazards. Please wear ear and eye protection.

Driving Directions

  • Take Interstate 5 to Exit 158.

  • Turn right on East Marginal Way South.

  • The Museum is a half mile down the road, on your right.

 

Parking Information

The East Campus Main Parking Lot, adjacent to Boeing Field, will be closed Friday-Sunday, August 1-3.

Free parking is available on the Museum's West Campus (behind the Space Gallery and Aviation Pavilion) and in the Boeing Employee lot across from the East Campus at S. 96th Place. 

Reserved ADA parking is available north of the Museum’s East Campus.

Overflow Parking is available south of the Museum in the Boeing lots at S. Norfolk St. and north of Raisbeck Aviation High School in the warehouse lot at Phoenix Dr. 

Please note: All Overflow Parking is a 10-minute walk to the Museum.

Visitors may use the Drop-off/Pick-Up Zone to load and unload passengers. It is located off East Marginal Way South in front of the Museum’s East Campus. 

We ask that all buses and RVs please park behind the West Campus along the west side of the lot.

Frequently Asked Questions


Can I watch the Blue Angels Walk-Down Ceremony?

For the duration of the Seafair Festival, the U.S. Navy Blue Angels will be stationed at the King County International Airport terminal (north end of Boeing Field). Can I bring in my own chairs to sit on in the parking lot?

Visitors may bring in blankets or low-back folding chairs (see graphic below) for viewing. To qualify as a low-back folding chair it must be no more than 9 inches from the ground to the seat and no more than 26 inches from the top of the chair to the ground. Visitors may not bring the following: tall chairs, camping chairs, tables, umbrellas, coolers, canopies or ladders.

What is your alcohol policy?

Outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted. Alcoholic beverages may be purchased in the Beer Garden but must be consumed in the Beer Garden. Entry to the Beer Garden is limited to individuals 21 years of age or older with a valid photo I.D. No exceptions will be made.

 

Will I be able to watch the Boeing Seafair Air Show from the Museum?

No, the Boeing Seafair Air Show happens at the Seafair Weekend Festival over Lake Washington at Genesee Park. Jet Blast Bash offers guests a chance to see the take-offs and landings of the aircraft in the show, including the U.S. Navy Blue Angels.

 

Does purchasing a ticket for Jet Blast Bash grant me access to the Seafair Weekend Festival? 

No, Jet Blast Bash and Seafair are two separate events on the same weekend. Jet Blast Bash is at The Museum of Flight at Boeing Field and features family activities, access to the entire Museum, talks, live music, and up close, front row views of the Blue Angels and Air Show aircraft takeoffs and landings.

 

How do I buy tickets to Jet Blast Bash?

All Jet Blast Bash activities are included with Museum admission on August 2 and 3. Admission can either be purchased on-site the day of your visit or in advance on the Museum website.
