Calling all Spacesuit Designers!

The Museum of Flight is excited to announce a Spacesuit Design Challenge for all artists ages 5 to 17! This year is the 50th anniversary of humans walking on the Moon, and what better way to celebrate than creating custom spacesuits? Whether traveling to the Moon, Mars, or beyond, the ingenuity of spacesuits keeps astronauts safe from potentially harmful environments. We are looking for unique designs that incorporate similar safety features seen in functional spacesuits. For full challenge rules please see entry packet.

3 Age Groups:

  • Comet (ages 5-8)

  • Nebula (ages 9-13)

  • Galaxy (ages 14-17)
